Today we went to a hands-on museum in Malden, MO with the First Graders from Greene County Tech.
This picture is of Ashlee and Autumn (a girl in Ashlee's class) sitting on the porch swing of a little playhouse at the museum. It was two story with a slide out the back.
Saturday the mowing got a little out of hand! The kids and dad were having a blast!
The kids call this cat "Blacky". He is an outdoor cat that has adopted our family. He and Honey love to play together. When he is done playing he lets Honey know in no uncertain terms!
Honey is turning out to be a very good learner. She has very few accidents. We are starting to let her be in the main part of the house more and more.
Honey is already learning several puppy commands, like "CRATE", "SIT", "COME" (Although she still needs to be close to you or in the mood for this one. She seems to be going through a little "phase" because at first she was quite able to "COME"!)
Sometimes she rides in the car for short rides, like to meet Ryans bus.

Wavy is about the best we got on Ashlee's hair. I think we need to use a stonger hold product when we are rolling the curlers. But it was not bad for our first attempt. She bounced out the door very pleased, so all it well that ends well.
Ashlee went to bed with curlers in her hair tonight. She is hoping for the curly look for school tomorrow. Stay tuned...
Honey has her own space in mom and dad's bathroom while she adjusts to indoor/outdoor life. So far so good. There was a little to clean up this morning in the bathroom. But during the day when we took her out frequently there were no accidents. Good Puppy!
She had her first two little SIT lessons today. I am going to work with her briefly about two to three times a day so that she will be a very well behaved little lady.
We have a new addition to the family. She will be sleeping in a crate indoors. We have learned our lesson about living on a highway and having a dog the very hardest way possible.
Honey is a doll, but the animal control that we got her from wasn't sure what her breed was. But I'm sure no matter what she will be loved. Her paws are pretty small so I don't think she'll be real big.
So now I will be reading up on training! Its been so long since I've trained a puppy. In fact I've never had one this small... But she is already asleep in her crate. She slept under a seat in the van on the way home. So I could tell she was going to "den" nicely. When we got home we let her run around the yard a bit and she did both types of business and we praised her tons. Then we brought her in and let her roam the house just a little.
The kids then took her back outside and she chased them and chased them and had a ball while I was tending chickens and the horse.
She is a real snuggler so far and very quiet. She barked at one of the cats once it was quite cute.
